I crossed into a sorority in 2008 and renounced in 2016. I denounced publicly in 2017 via social media. God revealed a lot to me in 2016. However, I wasn’t Born Again yet, so it took years to realize the full magnitude of what I’d been a part of.
These testimonies and videos are not for clout, rage-baiting or fearmongering. There are many of us who are Born Again + who are dedicated to reading our Bibles, learning God’s character, and acknowledging the pull of the Holy Spirit. We’ve come to a place of repentance, realizing how much we’ve grieved God through our sins.
The thing that sets secret societies apart from other forms of idolatry is the covenant. Knowing this, we do not want to leave our (potential) brothers and sisters in Christ in bondage. Hence, these videos.
Listen: You have no idea what you’re involved in. The Hellenic religion is a real thing. One thing I read recently is that the greek and roman gods care(d) more about the rituals than about whether the initiate/worshipper truly even “believed.” Just like Satan, these false gods don’t put too much emphasis on “how much you care” or “what you believe” about them, as long as you act out their requirements for worship.
That’s what makes Jesus so different. And that’s why we stress that salvation is not based on works, but about the belief + declaration that, “Jesus is Lord” and that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10).
Do you believe in Jesus? Do you want to believe in Jesus? If so, then you have to get to know Him. Follow His commands. Turn away from other Gods. Get out of your sorority/fraternity. 🤍
