You should absolutely strive to not be overcome by fear and doubt. Those are insidious seeds that penetrate and permeate. Those emotions cause you to remain focused on your hardship rather than on God’s hand. That being said: Don’t let prosperity teaching manipulate you into thinking that your hardship is based on your emotional or mental state. It’s not. You will have hardship and trials in this life, and you will have a range of emotions birthed from those experiences. You need to constantly center your focus on Jesus Christ. Submit your lives to God. Pray for His power to be at work in your life and situation. Trust in Him, and follow His word (laid out in Scripture). But, if you are Born Again, do not let your hardship cause you to ever question God’s presence or your salvation. Bring to Him any unconfessed sin, remain humble and productive, carry the fruit of the Spirit, and trust in in the Lord. Give Him Glory and spread the Gospel – and as you experience His favor on your life, be sure to put it to good use; spreading the Gospel even further.

Hebrews 3:12-19 See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end. As has just been said:
“Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”
Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness? And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed? So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.
