Spirit Drops: Inversions

The enemy inverts so much of God’s process. The devil will attempt to capture your attention, break you down and build you back up in an identity which serves “him,” rather than God. He can use anything to do this – a relationship, an affiliation, anything. Here is the difference between God’s process and the enemy’s process:

God draws you near. You can come to Him freely.

The enemy entices. Walking with him will always come at a cost.

You confess your sins and, through Christ, God forgives your sins.

The enemy holds your sins and weaknesses over your head.

Christ calls you to a life of repentance.

The enemy wants you to remain unapologetic.

God wants you to practice forgiveness.

The enemy wants you to have vengeance.

Christ grants internal peace, restoration and transformation.

The enemy ushers in internal chaos, humiliation, shame and stagnation.

God wants you to remain poor in spirit; with a humble and core understanding that ALL your favor and help flows from Him.

The enemy wants you to be prideful and self-righteous; celebrating yourself for the good and condemning yourself for the bad.

Coming to Christ means dying unto yourself. You yield to Him in your current state and are made new and whole in Him.

Engaging with the enemy means actively losing yourself. You come to “him” in your current state and are broken down further before accepting the identity “he” gives you.

God hates *sin*. [He also hates sinful humanity, which is why He has a plan for your salvation: accepting Jesus.]

The enemy hates *you*. [The enemy does not want you saved.]

God wants you eternally blessed, and He wants to set you free. And He tells you that.

The enemy wants you eternally cursed, and he wants to keep you in bondage. But he doesn’t tell you that.

God beckons your spirit. He relieves your spiritual burden and sets you on a new path. He meets your needs. He builds you up through His grace and love, for His glory.

You find an inexplicable peace and are safe in Him because He is strong and His word is true. Your debt is paid in full and He knows you could never repay Him.

The enemy feeds your ego. The enemy masks your burdens for a time, and fulfills your desires. These things satisfy your wants or may pacify you.

Your emotional stability is dependent upon your perfection. You will always be in debt and the enemy will always come to collect.

God’s covenant, through Christ, is clear.

The devil’s contract is convoluted.

Through Christ, God works His process.

Through *many* things, the devil works “his” process.

The devil wants to turn souls away from God. The enemy wants to harden your heart so bad to the point where you would reject God at every turn; now and in the future. The enemy doesn’t want you to know God, now, and he doesn’t want you to dwell with God, eternally.

God wants you saved. The devil wants you tormented.

The devil will always be a crafty deceiver, an imitator and a liar.

Come to Christ. Spend time in the Word. Repent and pray. You are not perfect and will always be a sinner. But be careful not to “give yourself over” to sin, because it will eventually lead you to serve the wrong master; whether you realize it or not.
