I tend to “explain away” or rationalize:
…my testimony,
when people act like they don’t believe me.
…my peace,
when people want me to look like whatever storm I’m in.
…my blessings,
when people aren’t happy for me.
In reality, there is nothing common about knowing that the hand of God is on your life.

There is an overwhelming peace and sense of favor that comes with knowing you are in His hands; whatever your circumstance.
When all of your heavy emotion – from anxiety/grief to excitement/gratefulness – gets submitted to God, He gives you comfort and orders your steps. And in your obedience, things start to shift – sometimes only internally. Sometimes externally as well.
Some people will see the favor and they won’t understand it. Instead of letting their reaction shake you, use every moment as an opportunity to share with them the love and truth of God. And the love and truth of Jesus.

But don’t ever try to minimize what God has done for you, simply to make others comfortable. Whether He’s given you peace, provision or good fortune… Whether He’s covering you in a low place or holding your hand in a high place… He wants the glory; and it’s His to have!
