Written February 23, 2024: This is a closure prayer that I wrote + spoke to God after leaving my church. [Redacted]

Dear God,

As You deliver me into a new season, with a better and fuller understanding of ____‘s subtle – but often egregious – manipulation of Scripture, I pray that I remain humble.

I pray that I realize how much You’ve covered me. That You were still my teacher, allowing confirmation of so much of my personal studies to come through ___.

I thank You for the way You’ve had me memorialize a lot of Pastor ___’s quotes. I pray that I never look back at these past 10 years with disdain. You covered me and protected me from potential deception.

PLEASE keep my mind strong and my heart strong. Please break and curses or bad spirits that could have attached themselves to me or my household – or my loved ones’ households and souls – because of ___.

I love You, Lord. Please cover me with the Blood of Jesus and keep me strong, healthy and equipped. In Christ’s name. Amen. Praise the Lord!
