Prayer for God to reveal affiliations which are not of Him:

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your protection and for allowing me to come to You in prayer, petition and thanksgiving. I love You and trust You, Lord God. I ask You for Your help today as I strive to acknowledge Your position in my life. You are my Creator, my Father and the One True God.

Thank You Jesus, my Lord and Savior, and the ruler of my life.

I want to place before you, now, everything in my life. All of my affiliations, relationships, activities and hobbies. I want to place before you my church home and involvement. I want to place before you the members of my circle – both the Believers and unbelievers.

As I lay these things before You, I am asking You to first shift in my heart. Allow me to be able to receive any revelation You bring me as it relates to these things; whether it be now or in the future. I pray that I am covered with Your mighty hand in all of these things and that I remember Your protection. If You tell me to leave something behind – or to navigate the relationship in a different way – I pray that You help me to be obedient. I pray that You walk with me; helping me to cling to You and to not be afraid.

I pray that You eventually give me confirmation – even if it comes after my obedience, and even if it only comes in the form of peace. I pray that every experience – positive and negative, smooth and difficult – draws me closer to You.

Now, Lord, I ask that You please show me if I am involved in anything that is detrimental to my walk with You. I know that You are a loving and caring, God, and that You do things in Your good and perfect timing. I know that Your plans are never to harm me. Please remove any fear.

If I’ve ignored anything that You’ve tried to show me in the past, please prepare my heart and show me again. If there is something new that You plan on showing me, please prepare my heart and show me.

You know my heart. If I am sincerely laying these things before You – and if I am involved in something that is not of You – then, please cover me and guard my spirit until You call me out of it.

Thank You for everything, God. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen. Praise the Lord.

Prayer for healing upon removal:

Dear Lord, Thank You for having delivered me from my situation. Thank You for revealing the ways in which that situation was displeasing to You. Please forgive me of the sins I’ve committed through my affiliation – both known and unknown. Please help me to forgive those who tried to harm or lead me astray. I pray that I do not hold a grudge against them, but that I praise You fully for alerting me to truth. Please help to deliver all of Your children who are caught up in the same or similar situation. Please draw them out of it, as You did me.

Please help me to pour out any confusion or heavy emotion to you. Please show me the people in my life who are equipped to walk alongside me in this season. Please reveal to me the bad patterns or habits that I’ve picked up due to my involvement. Please also reveal to me any good thing that I gleaned from that situation, so that I don’t shed those things in the process of healing.

I pray that You heal and restore me, fully. I pray that I am purposeful and bold about giving You glory. Please help my conversation to become gracious and convicted so that I don’t fall into the trap of incessant venting and gossip. I pray that this experience increases my understanding of the Gospel and furthers my commitment to sharing the Gospel.

And, last, thank You for Your incredible protection. I thank You for the ways in which You kept me and brought me back to my faith, and back to the narrow path. I pray that You help me to remain in prayer and in the word so that I don’t fall back into things that You’ve delivered me from.

Thank You so much for Your grace and mercy. In Christ’s name. Amen. Praise the Lord!
